Early this September, our Dwight scholars proudly represented our school at the World Scholar’s Cup Global Round in Bangkok, where students from over 30 countries came together to compete in an inspiring celebration of knowledge, debate, and collaboration.

We are delighted to share that every one of our scholars performed exceptionally well, earning the prestigious invitation to the Tournament of Champions at Yale University. Congratulations to our qualifiers:

Grade 8: Tain, Daniel, Philip

Grade 11: Amber, Nicolas, Justin

Among many highlights of the competition, Philip (G8) was selected to participate in the debate showcase as one of the top debaters, while Justin (G11) contributed his expertise by serving on the debate panel. These moments were not only achievements but also proud reflections of their leadership and skills.

Beyond the academic challenges, our students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Thai culture and history. They explored the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, creating unforgettable memories together outside of the competition halls.

The flag march of the award ceremony was another proud moment for our community. Tain (G8) and Justin (G8) carried the flag of Korea, while Nicolas (G11) carried the flag of Brazil, symbolizing Dwight’s truly international spirit.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, resilience, and passion for learning. Their success in Bangkok is just the beginning, we cannot wait to cheer them on as they head to Yale University for the Tournament of Champions!
