At Dwight School Seoul (서울드와이트외국인학교), community and connection are at the heart of everything we do. Every year, we host two Orientation Days; one at the beginning of the academic year and another before the start of the second semester. These sessions are designed to provide new families with a deeper understanding of our school’s operations and educational philosophy. More than just an introduction, these orientations help build strong partnerships between the school and our families, fostering closer engagement in student learning and encouraging active participation in school life.
This year, our Orientation day was held on the morning of 14 August, marking the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year. The event was a true celebration of our global community, welcoming families from 51 different countries to our beautiful campus in Sangam-dong. New and returning students were greeted with warmth, and families had the opportunity to hear from faculty and staff about Dwight’s vision, mission, and unique educational approach.
Dwight School Seoul proudly holds the distinction of being Korea’s first IB Continuum School, offering all three IB programmes Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). This holistic and rigorous curriculum supports our mission to develop confident, compassionate, and internationally-minded leaders who are equipped to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
One of Dwight’s most notable strengths is our cohesive, continuous educational journey from early childhood through to high school. This allows us to identify and nurture each student’s interests and potential from an early age, offering a truly personalised learning experience. Students are encouraged to inquire, explore, and take ownership of their learning skills that prepare them to become independent thinkers and true global citizens.

Tom Ferguson, our Head of School shared,
“An educational environment that respects each student’s individual talents and interests is key to fostering creativity and self-directed learning. At Dwight, we go beyond academic achievement and focus on helping students clearly define their identity and goals.”
Allan Ward, our Admissions Officer, added:
“One of our school’s greatest strengths is our deep respect for the cultures of all families and the sense of belonging that comes from our close-knit, family-like community. These values are at the heart of our recently launched and successfully implemented BJEDI initiative.”
Since opening its doors in 2012, Dwight School Seoul has built a reputation for academic excellence, cultural diversity, and a vibrant school community. Our Parent Association (PA) is an active and integral part of school life, creating many opportunities for parents to connect, contribute, and grow alongside their children.

As we embark on another exciting school year, we look forward to continuing this journey together, celebrating our diversity, embracing new challenges, and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.
